Clear Vision Without Glasses
Contact lenses provide vision correction that rivals traditional glasses—and they do it without changing your appearance at all.
While glasses are the ideal solution for some people, other people can’t or don’t want to wear glasses. If this sounds like you, contacts may be just the answer you’re looking for.
At Royal Oak Optometry, we’re here to help every one of our patients find a pair of contacts that provides them with clear eyesight, increases their confidence, and improves their life.

Why Do You Need a Contact Lens Exam?
Just like a pair of eyeglasses, contacts require a prescription and a proper fitting to safely and effectively correct your vision.
Everyone’s vision is different, so the contacts you wear should suit your specific needs. If your contacts don’t fit properly, or if they’re the wrong prescription, it can have severe impacts on your vision and health.
What Happens During a Contact Lens Exam & Fitting?
Like many specialty eye exams, a contact lens exam begins with a consultation where we will ask about your medical history and lifestyle.
After taking a comprehensive look at your entire visual system, we can determine whether or not contact lenses are right for you. If you and your optometrist agree that contact lenses should be considered, the next step is to get fitted for contacts.
The fitting helps determine your contact prescription by measuring your pupil, iris, and cornea to find the perfect size, style, and shape of contact lens for you.
Once we’ve fitted your contacts, we’ll ask you to test out a trial pair of your new lenses. Then, if all goes well during the trial period, you’ll be ready to order your contacts and wear them regularly! If you notice any symptoms or irritation during your trial, please call us.
