Restore Your Visual Abilities
Simply put, vision is your ability to see, but it is so much more than that. Your vision is actually part of an entire system that works together to support the interaction between your eyes and brain.
To have 20/20 vision, your eyes and brain have to work together perfectly. If there is something stopping this from happening, we can help you create a custom vision therapy treatment plan.
Vision therapy may be the right solution for you if you have an eye condition that can’t be corrected with glasses or contact lenses.
What Is Vision Therapy?
Vision therapy is a treatment program that is highly individualized and can be helpful for people of all ages. Depending on your eye health, the quality of your eyesight, and what eye conditions you suffer from, your optometrist will create a custom plan involving different activities and exercises that can help to improve your vision.
What Vision Conditions Can Be Helped By Vision Therapy?
When your eyes and brain don’t work together correctly, vision issues can be the result. The two most common vision problems we correct with vision therapy include:
Strabismus
Strabismus, also known as crossed eyes, is a muscle condition that most often presents in children under the age of 6. Strabismus occurs when the eyes don’t align with one another, leaving them crossed. If someone suffers from crossed eyes, they may experience blurry vision, depth perception issues, or double vision.
Amblyopia (Lazy Eye)
Amblyopia, or lazy eye, is the most common cause of vision loss in kids. It occurs when one eye becomes stronger than the other. This can create weaker vision in the other eye. Sometimes, this can even develop into strabismus.
